The vision of AFES is proclaiming Jesus Christ at university to present everyone mature in Him, reaching students at 55+ campuses in every state and territory of Australia. AFES employs staff and trains apprentices to help and encourage students in their Christian growth and witness.

Working behind the scenes of the campus ministry in the AFES National Office is an opportunity to serve the staff and students. It is essential that applicants have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with the vision, mission, values and doctrinal basis of AFES.

Role Summary

Under the direction of the AFES National Administrator, in conjunction with the NTE Director, the incumbent will provide assistance in all matters of conference administration, including conference planning, site liaison, vendor management, publicity, promotional materials, registrations, accommodation, conference materials, and administration support for conference teams for internal and external conferences. This position is full time and requires regular work to be performed at the AFES National Office, Kingsford.

 Duties and responsibilities

  • Working with various conference teams to ensure the provision of excellent service to both conference organisers and attendees.
  • Providing professional conference administration services to a range of internal clients including the National Training Event (NTE) Teams, and external clients including AFES campus affiliate groups.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Servant-hearted and passionate about the ministry of AFES.
  • Accuracy, high attention to detail and good time management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with multiple stakeholders concurrently.
  • Flexible and composed, with the ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office and high computer literacy including skills with email clients, databases, and web browsers.
  • Appropriate qualifications or demonstrated experience.

Remuneration

Salary range commensurate with skills and experience, available on request. Assitance with moving costs available for interstate relocation.
