Pray for Evangelicals on Campus, at the Australian Catholic University, Strathfield and the gospel conversations happening on campus; that hearts will be opened to the good news.

Pray for Uni Bible Study at Charles Sturt University, Albury-Wodonga: for positive fellowship and fruitful conversation as Albury-Wodonga campus joins Wagga Wagga for Getaway Camp being held from 1-3 May.

AFES FOCUS || Thank God for many non-Christian international students who came to Easter meetings. Pray for FOCUS staff and groups to follow them up well.

Pray that God will use small groups and mission events at Australian National University, Canberra FOCUS to mature Christian Students and reach non-Christian Students.

Pray for the Worship Night which Newcastle Christian Students are running at a local church; that it will be a time where people within the NCS are encouraged as they worship God and declare his praises, and that the night might be focused on glorifying God and not ourselves as they seek to remind ourselves of his eternal truths.

AFES Apprenticeships || Hebrews 12:7a says “Endure hardship as discipline.” Pray for apprentices and trainers to do likewise with their eyes fixed on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2).

Thank God for the Sydney University Evangelical Union semester so far: for even more students attending the weekly public meetings than last year and for the small group bible studies. Pray that God will bring many more newcomers who do not know the gospel and that EUers would be emboldened to share the gospel in love with them as the semester comes to a close.

Give thanks for the Campus Bible Study at University of NSW Mid-Year Conference being held from 25-29 May – there are so many people that they will be split across two sites. Pray for CBS staff as they prepare for a week of teaching from the Bible.

Pray for the University Fellowship of Christians at the University of Tasmania, Hobart as they develop Evangelism, Events and Music teams to better respond to specific needs and opportunities in those areas; that members might be blessed in using and developing their gifts for serving, and that they might be better equipped to reach out to Christians and seekers on campus.

Pray for University of Canberra FOCUS and the followup after their recent Mark Drama event: for all the non-Christians who saw the drama and that FOCUS students woill have opportunities to share to gospel with the people they invited.

Pray that AFES will double our reach in calling people to turn back to Jesus in repentance and faith.

Pray for Christians at University at Australian Catholic University, Melbourne; that as they join with Swinburne, and Latrobe Christian Unions for a social dinner, it will be an edifying occasion.

Pray for University of Wollongong Uni Bible Group student leaders as they learn how to approach, understand, and teach God’s Word next month and pray for the Bible studies beginning in Philippians in the second half of the semester; that God would produce much fruit through His Word in the lives of the leaders as they prepare studies, and in the lives of those they teach.

Pray that University of Western Australia Christian Union students would still see the value of sitting under God’s word at CU each week, even as the semester gets busy.

Pray that God would be working at Christian Union at Deakin University Burwood, Victoria to give students a richer understanding of his grace, and that they will serve him with their whole lives.

Pray for Evangelicals on Campus, at the Australian Catholic University, North Sydney and the start up of Campus Conversations; that students will be enthusiastic to speak to others on campus about the good news of Jesus.

Pray for Ballarat Christians at Uni, at Federation University as they connect with the local community by volunteering with the local Christian radio station; that they can serve God through this ministry.

Pray for the Bathurst Christian Students committee at Charles Sturt University’ as they plan for the absence of their only staff worker, Andrew, as he goes on his long service leave in the second half of the year.

Pray for the Notre Dame Bible Fellowship at the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle and their relationship with the university and with other clubs; that they may be Christ’s witnesses to the campus.

Pray for University Fellowship of Christians at the University of Tasmania, Launceston as they organising the conference coming up in July between the two regions of Tasmania; that many will register for this event.

Pray for University of Queensland Evangelical Students, Brisbane and for continued student participation and attendance at Bible Studies and Bible Talks despite the busy portion of the semester approaching; that students would find comfort in and security in Christ during this busy time.

Pray for the Monash University, Clayton’s Christian Union and FOCUS ‘Taste and See event”’happening on 11 May: a night for supporters and family of staff and students to attend and experience what the main Tuesday talk sessions are like. Pray that it will be an encouragement for both students, staff and supporters to see the wider community supporting one another.

Pray for Melbourne University Christian Union’s upcoming Pray and Praise night on the week of 11 May; that it would be a good time of worship and devotion to God, especially during the busiest time of semester.

Prayer for Credo at the University of Technology Sydney’s Uncover: Ancient Faith evangelistic series being held from 12-14 May; that Credo regulars would be inviting their friends and classmates and that Stu would speak truthfully and powerfully.

Pray that in line with the AFES Mission statement we will together present students on our campuses mature in Jesus (by God’s strength).

Pray for FOCUS (IFES Sri Lanka) and their in-person and online Bible study groups; that all would show such openness to students from different linguistic and religious backgrounds. Thank God that over 20 students were able to gather for a FOCUS camp in April.

Pray that BCU Fed Uni students would be bold in sharing their faith, using ‘the 3 circles’ with non-Christians.

Pray for University of New England, Armidale Christians United as they continue their evangelistic Bible talks; that as they look at the gospel of Mark, all people who come along will have the chance to meet Jesus and come to know and grow in him.

Pray for Griffith Christian Students at Griffith University, Brisbane; that they would prepare well during the preceding weeks for their event on 21 May, increasing campus missional intensity, being bold to invite students, and a growing a strong culture of prayer within the group.

Pray for RMIT Christian Union, Melbourne’s weekly events: Bible groups, Super Tuesday, FOCUS and Cuppa ‘n’ Chats; that they can build up and spur on all that attend, teaching and discipling them towards God’s Son and a life full of repentance and gratitude.

AFES FOCUS || Pray for FOCUS staff and groups to work with new international student contacts as we evangelise, encourage, train and send them.

Pray for UBS CSU Albury-Wodonga as they host their second outreach event in May; that students on campus will have curious hearts and be willing to attend, and that there will be fruitful follow-up conversation between newcomers and regulars.

Pray that Uni of Canberra FOCUS students would regularly commit to their various weekly events, including walk-up evangelism, during a busy time of semester.

Pray that international student coming to ANU FOCUS International would have soft hearts to accept what is being taught.

Pray for the CU and FOCUS Monash Uni Clayton Ordinary General Meeting being held on 18 May; that members will feel encouraged to come along and see how the club’s mission and vision has been growing this semester and how it can keep growing throughout the year.

Pray for the EU Sydney Uni Annual Conference (AnCon) being held from 27-31 July. Thank God for the many who are serving and giving up their time to make AnCon a reality. Pray that God will prepare the hearts and minds of all the students who will attend and that as they look at the doctrine of God they will be able to understand him more deeply and love him all the more.

Pray for EOC ACU North Sydney MYC regos; that many First Years will sign up for MYC.

Pray for the upcoming mid-year camp at CU Deakin Uni Burwood; that God would enable a huge number of people to come along and dive deeper into ‘Holiness’.

Pray that ACUCU Melbourne’s regular bible talks will continue to draw people to Christ and that many be mentored by His word.

Pray for CU UNE Armidale as they start up CU Training again; that this will be an encouraging time for Christians to meet together and be better trained and equipped to share the gospel with people at UNE.

Pray for GCS Griffith Uni Brisbane; that their event on 21 May with speaker Sam Green would be a great opportunity to train Christian students in engaging with Muslims, and that many Muslim students would attend and hear the Gospel proclaimed clearly.

Pray that NDBF UND Fremantle students will continue to encourage one another to look to Jesus as their source of peace and hope, and that their faith and love for Him will continue to grow.

Pray that those of Bathurst Christian Students who are living on campus would be living distinctly for God amongst their peers.

Pray that AFES will double our numbers offering themselves for Missionary Service.

Pray for RMIT CU as they prepare for Summit, being held from 29 June-3 July; that they can encourage many students to attend so the gospel can be heard and experienced as they learn about the Resurrection together.

Pray for the new Uni Fellowship Launceston prayer group; that many students will come together and pray for each other.

Pray for EOC ACU Strathfield; that amidst the business of the semester, uni students will continue to see the value in being together and hearing from God’s word.

Pray for Melbourne Uni CU’s end of semester dinner on 25 May – especially for those who are graduating; that it would be a good time of fellowship and celebration of the hard work of all the students throughout the semester.

AFES Horizons || Pray for the Horizons Southern Europe team as they meet on 26 May for their third all-in team training meeting. Give thanks for their time in the program thus far, and pray they would continue to prepare well for the upcoming exposure trip in July.

Pray for Newcastle CS and their Thailand Mission Trip from 27 May-7 June where they will help run a kids program for missionary families from neighbouring countries; for safe travel, for wisdom as they organise the kids program and for an upwelling of the spirit to produce maturity and growth in both the team and the kids themselves. Pray also that students on the team who are considering their suitability for cross-cultural ministry would be impacted by the trip.

Pray for Graduate Christian Union at the University of Melbourne, as they run their leadership night on 28 April; that God helps raise up the new group of leaders to run and look after GCU and to ultimately do Gods will.

Pray for the Uni Fellowship Hobart as they help to organise and host the CMS World Mission Youth Night on 29 May; that many young people from many different churches will attend and be encouraged to consider their beautifully generous God, and how this connects to their role in local and global mission.

Pray that in line with AFES’ second value, we will constantly shape all our methods, our ministries, and our mission by the Scriptures.

Pray for IFES in the Middle East and for an end to war across the region, including in Iran, Lebanon, Israel, and Gaza; that the ongoing cycle of hatred, destruction, and killing will be broken. Pray that believers will know the peace and protection of Christ – especially staff and students who are in direct physical danger from rocket fire. Pray for IFES regional team members as they counsel key staff in national movements as some have periodically had to evacuate their own homes due to missile strikes.
